I'm Kat, and this is The Rebel Palate.

I like to write about Weird, Natural, and/or Obscure foods, with a strong emphasis on New England's offerings. There will be mysteries, recipes, and more likely than not, my drooling over classic cars and dead singers.

MUSIC

At the bottom of each post, I like to embed a piece of music that's at least sort of related to the topic.

I try to make sure most readers haven't heard the piece, but that's obviously not a guarantee.

Most of the music falls under the blues umbrella to keep with the theme. The "Ooh, look at me! I like old stuff even though I was born in the early 2000s! Please think I'm interesting!" theme.

HISTORY

This blog started in May of 2021 on Google's Blogger service.

From day one of the original blog, I've been waiting for a chance to change services. I thought WordPress was my only other option, and that would've cost money, so I forced myself to stay with Blogger.

If I'd known about Neocities sooner, though... I would've just been overwhelmed and given up. This is the best outcome, all things considered.

I think Neocities is a more fitting home for The Rebel Palate, and I'm happy to be here.
